Mos tea comes from the same type of plant, the Camellia Sinensis. The process that produces a tea’s great taste is the fermentation process. Wu Yi tea, also called Wu-long or oolong, is a partially fermented tea that is somewhere between the green and black tea families. The tea is partially oxidized in the sun, where it’s dried. This gives it more mass than green tea but less than black tea. Wuyi tea has the largest amount of polyphenols of any tea because of how it’s fermented.

In sort, no, wu yi tea is not the same thing as green tea. There is a big difference between the two, which I will explain below.

When looking at the two teas, Wu Yi Tea has a much better weight loss effect. It’s the winner in this case. It has a stronger concentration of polyphenols and antioxidants, so you’ll lose more weight and have a faster metabolism if you drink wu yi tea and not green tea.

This was proven in a study in Japan. In it, there were three groups of 120 women. One group drank water regularly, one drank green tea, and one group drank wu yi tea. At the end of a six week period, those who drank green tea lost more weight than those who drank water, and those who drank wu yi tea lost much more weight than those who drank green tea.

This case study is a clear example proving that wu yi tea is more effective at making you lose weight than green tea is.

For five centuries, many people in Asia have used wu-yi tea for its many medical benefits. The tea itself is named for the Wu Yi Mountains where it is grown. The mountains are located in southern China. The fermenting process gives this tea a different, distinct flavor that has a strong aroma. Many have described it similar to coffee because of its deep, rich taste. Wu-Yi tea is natural and fat-burning. Wu-Yi has a substance called polyphenol in it that stimulates lipolysis, a process that breaks down fat and burns calories. This activates enzymes that help you lose weight, increase your metabolic rate, and burns fat.

At the end of the six weeks of the study, the wu-yi tea increased everyone’s metabolism by 10%, the green tea increased it by 4%, and the water didn’t increase it at all.
